![]() John is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Kristi (Palombit) Purdue son, Brian Purdue (Sandi) and son, Seth daughter, Jennifer James (Scott) and children, Heather Dougan (Kody), Dylan and Haven daughter, Michele French (Mark) and children, Zoe, Barnabas, Boaz and Benjamin son, Danny Purdue sister, Barbara Barnett nephew, William Barnett (Daryl) niece Lana Greear (Adam) father in law, Theo Palombit sisters in law, Janis Garrison and Linda Vickers brother in law, Michael Palombit (Leeann), and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.Ī Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Maat Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Pastor Tommy Epperson, with private burial in St. ![]() Some of his favorite pastimes were card games, fishing, golfing, and cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers. He treasured a good meal and conversation with those he loved, as well as time spent with his children and grandchildren. John counted it his greatest blessings to share in the love of family and the gift of many friendships. ![]() John was diligent in supporting mission work of all kinds, most recently through serving on the Missions Board at Living Word Christian Church. John's foundation was his belief in Christ as his Savior, evidenced by his encouragement to others to grow in their personal faith journey. He found his calling to care for animals at a young age and throughout his career spread kindness and compassion to both pets and people. John graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1970 and went on to have a rewarding forty year career at Parkdale Animal Hospital alongside his partner Dr. He was born Apto the late William and Betty (Inman) Purdue and grew up in Boonville, Indiana. Purdue, DVM, 76, of Newburgh passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
